It really feels like a bullet-proof watch. The G9000 Mudman is a decent module (but less features than the 7900), in a fantastic case. Try to talk to the same Salesperson that you bought it from, too. The fact that somebody has returned it to them and ripped them off, unfortunately isn't your problem - it's their fault for not being able to spot the fake when it was returned to them in the first place! You can't be expected to know that it's a fake, and the retailer (presumably) has the obligation to make sure they are selling the real deal to the public. If your receipt states "G-SHOCK G-7900" or similar, then that is what you're entitled to - not a $10 knock-off. If you have any problem returning it, you might have to go the Fair Trading Department or whatever you have over there (presumably you're in the USA?). Especially since you've bought from a retailer and not online! But my qualified guess is that it is more then 90% probability you bought fake.Ĭlick to expand.This really boils my blood. If the buyer do not know how to tell the difference he will be buying it thinking it is real. That fake one will then end up in the display case and will then be sold amongst the real ones. Then if the one working there cant tell the difference, she/he will accept the fake one in return. What they then do is go back to Macy's and claim they want to return the bought G-Shock and get their money back, but what they do is returning a fake one. Then they also buy a fake one at one of the Kiosk stands in the shopping mall that sell fake ones. There have been some reports of some people buying a real G-shock at Macy's. Just because you bought it at Macys does not rule out the fake possibility. If the chip fails in any way then everything breaks. Casios are not software based, so it is not possible for just parts of the code breaking.
